Overview
Dramaha 49 is a Dramaha variant where the draw half is won by the player with the highest point total across their 5 individual cards. Points are scored as: Aces = 1, face cards (J/Q/K) = 0, all other cards = their pip value (2=2, 3=3, … 10=10). The maximum possible score is 49 points (T-T-T-T-9 = 10+10+10+10+9). The Omaha half is won by the best standard Omaha hand.

Point Scoring
KEY RULE: Draw half points — Aces = 1, face cards (J/Q/K) = 0, all others = their pip value (2 through 10). The HIGHEST total wins. Best possible hand = T-T-T-T-9 = 49 points.
Hand Construction
DRAW HALF: Sum the pip values of all five individual cards after the draw. Highest total wins. (Poker hand ranks are irrelevant — only point total matters.)
OMAHA HALF: Best 5-card hand using EXACTLY 2 individual cards + EXACTLY 3 community cards (standard Omaha rules).
Face cards (J/Q/K) are worthless for points — discard them aggressively in the draw round
Tens are the most valuable draw cards (10 pts each); four tens alone = 40 pts, nearly perfect
Aces score only 1 point — great for Omaha but often worth discarding for draw half
The ideal hand (T-T-T-T-9 = 49) wins the points race with no Omaha contribution, so you need a strong board pairing for the Omaha half when you chase max points
Mid-range cards (7-9) are solid point contributors and often useful for Omaha draws too
