DRAMAHA ZERO

Overview

Dramaha Zero is a Dramaha variant where the draw half is won by the player with the lowest point total. Points are scored as: Aces = 1, face cards (J/Q/K) = 0, all other cards = their pip value (2=2, 3=3, … 10=10). The minimum possible score is 0 points — achieved by holding five face cards (any combination of Jacks, Queens, and Kings). The Omaha half uses standard Omaha rules.

Hand Construction

• DRAW HALF: Sum the pip values of all five individual cards after the draw. Lowest total wins. (Poker hand ranks are irrelevant.)
• OMAHA HALF: Best 5-card hand using EXACTLY 2 individual cards + EXACTLY 3 community cards (standard Omaha rules).

Betting Structure

Pre-Flop (SB first) → Flop / 3 cards (SB first) → Draw → Turn / 4th card (BB first) → River / 5th card (BB first) → Showdown

Strategy Tips

• Face cards (J/Q/K) score 0 points each — hoard them and discard number cards aggressively
• Aces score only 1 point, making them excellent for both draw points and Omaha value
• High pip cards (9s, 10s) are the worst draws — each costs 9 or 10 points
• Unlike Dramaha 6, face cards here are your best friends instead of your worst enemies — a complete role reversal
• A hand of five face cards (0 pts) ties with any other all-face-card hand — ties are split evenly
• Face cards also pair frequently on boards, giving Omaha value to your 0-point draw cards
