Stud/Community Hybrid · Blinds · Split Pot · 8 Qualifier · 2 Down + 1 Up Individual · 5 Community Cards
Overview
Hollywood 8 plays exactly like Hollywood but splits the pot between the best high poker hand and the best qualifying low hand. The low hand must have 5 unique ranks all 8 or below (Ace counts as low). Any combination of your 3 individual cards and the 5 community cards may be used to build each half of your hand independently.

P3 makes an 8-high straight for the high half. Hero holds A♠2♦3♣ and uses community 4♦5♥ to complete the A-2-3-4-5 wheel — the best possible low. A clean split pot!

Split Pot Rules
8 QUALIFIER: The low hand must use 5 cards with all unique ranks, each 8 or below (Ace plays low). If no player qualifies for low, the high hand wins the entire pot. High and low hands are constructed independently — you may use different cards for each.
Low Hand Ranking
Compare the highest card in each low hand first; the lower one wins. Best possible: A-2-3-4-5 (the wheel). Example: A-2-3-4-5 beats A-2-3-4-6 (compare 5th-highest card: 5 < 6).
Strategy Tips
Holding A-2 privately is a massive advantage — only three more low ranks needed from the community
Nut-low draws (wheel draws) and strong high draws can scoop the pot
With 8 cards to work from, qualifying for low is much easier than in Omaha Hi-Lo
Watch out for paired community cards — they can destroy a low draw
Your upcard telegraphs part of your strategy — an A upcard signals a possible low draw
