Community Card Game · Blinds · Split Pot · 8-or-Better Low Qualifier · 6 Community Cards (3+2+1)
Overview
ImPLOcean 8 adds a high-low split to ImPLOcean's 6-community-card structure. Players use 4 hole cards with the 6-card board (3+2+1), must use exactly 2 individual + 3 community, and compete for both the best high hand and the best low hand. A qualifying low requires five unique unpaired ranks all 8 or lower (A counts as low).

The Omaha Rule
IMPORTANT: Players must use exactly TWO of their four hole cards combined with exactly THREE of the six community cards — for both the high hand and the low hand independently.
The Deal
Each player receives 4 hole cards face down. Six community cards dealt in three stages:
The Flop: Three community cards
The Turn: Two community cards (ImPLOcean's double-turn)
The River: One final community card
Split Pot
The pot is divided between two winners:
High: Best standard five-card poker hand (using exactly 2+3)
Low: Five cards, all 8 or lower, five unique ranks (A counts as low). Lowest hand wins. If no qualifying low exists, the high hand scoops the entire pot.
Low Hand Ranking
Compare low hands from highest card down — the hand with the lower high card wins. A-2-3-4-5 (the wheel) is the best possible low hand and also makes a straight for high.
Betting Rounds
Pre-Flop: After receiving 4 hole cards
Flop: After three community cards
Turn: After two more community cards
River: After the sixth and final community card
Strategy Tips
Hands with A-2 or A-3 are extremely valuable — they give low potential while A-high gives high potential
Scoop opportunities arise when you can make both the best high AND best low — target these starting hands
The 6-card community board means low hands are more achievable than in standard Omaha Hi-Lo
Remember: you choose different 2-card combos from your hole cards for high and low independently
