Community Card Game · Blinds · Split Pot · 8 Qualifier
Overview
Lazy Pineapple 8 adds a Hi/Lo split pot to Lazy Pineapple. Players receive three hole cards and never discard — all three are kept for the entire hand. At showdown, players may use any zero, one, or two of their hole cards to make the best five-card high hand, and separately choose any zero, one, or two to make the best qualifying low hand. The pot splits between the best high and the best qualifying low (five unique ranks, all 8 or lower, Ace plays low).

Split Pot — The Low Hand
To qualify for the low half of the pot, a player must make a five-card hand with five unique ranks, all 8 or lower, using any combination of hole cards (up to two) and community cards. Ace plays low. If no player qualifies, the high hand wins the entire pot.
Important: A player may use different hole cards for their high and low hands. For example, with hole cards A♠ 2♥ K♣, a player could use A♠K♣ for high (pair of Kings) and A♠2♥ for low — choosing whichever combination is optimal for each half.
Strategy Tips
Three hole cards with one high card and two low cards (e.g., A-2-K) give you the flexibility to play for both high and low simultaneously
The "Lazy" advantage: no discard means you can hedge — see the full board before committing to your best combination
A board with at least three low cards (≤8) is required for anyone to qualify for low
Hands that can scoop (win both high and low) are worth the most — an A-2-suited gives flush, straight, and low potential all at once
At showdown, carefully evaluate all six two-card combos from your three hole cards for both high and low separately
