Stud Game – Three Pots – 8 Players Max
Oakland Raiders is a seven-card stud game with three separate pots: the best high hand, the best low hand (8-qualifier), and the highest football score. Players compete for all three simultaneously, and a single hand can win multiple pots.
Three pots up for grabs — P3 wins High (Queens Full), P2 wins Low (7-low qualifies), and Hero wins Football (19 pts from A+A+6+6+3+2).
After the bring-in, betting follows standard stud structure. From 5th street onward, bets increase to the big-bet size. Best low hand showing acts first on 4th street and beyond.
Strategy Note: Cards that score football points (A, 2, 3, 6) are also valuable for low hands. A player chasing football and low with the same hand can be very dangerous. High-hand specialists often concede the football pot entirely.
The best possible football score is 21 points: two Aces (1+1=2), two 6s (6+6=12), two 3s (3+3=6), and one 2 (2) = 22? Let's recalculate: A+A+6+6+3+3+2 = 1+1+6+6+3+3+2 = 22 pts. Or A+A+6+6+6+3+2 (three 6s) = 1+1+6+6+6+3+2 = 25 pts maximum with A+A+6+6+6+6+2 = 28 pts if you could get four 6s — but in practice the theoretical max with all scoring cards is A+A+6+6+6+6+3 = 29 pts. Note that 2s are also scoring cards. The more A/2/3/6 cards in your hand, the higher your football score.
