The 3-2-1 Community Board
All 12 community cards are placed face-down before pre-flop betting:
Flop Board (9 cards): A 3×3 grid, all revealed during the flop betting round.
Turns (2 cards): Both revealed during the turn betting round; each player may select either one.
River (1 card): One shared river card available to all players.
Hand Construction
Using exactly 2 hole cards + 3 community cards — independently for each half:
Select any one complete horizontal row from the flop board (3 cards)
Select one of the 2 turn cards
Your community pool = chosen row (3) + chosen turn (1) + river (1) = 5 cards
You may use a different row and turn for your high hand versus your low hand
Low Hand (8 Qualifier)
Five unique ranks all 8 or below, aces count as low. The best possible low is A-2-3-4-5 (the "wheel"). If no player qualifies for low, the entire pot goes to the high winner.
Strategy Tips
A key advantage of 3-2-1: you can use Row 2 for your high and Row 1 for your low — scoop potential is higher than standard Omaha
Low rows (small-card rows) are extremely valuable — scout them on the flop
The 2 turn options and river create a pool of 5 community cards, giving great flexibility for both halves
Remember: the Omaha rule applies separately to each half — exactly 2 hole + exactly 3 community
