Community Card Game · Blinds · Split Pot · 8 Qualifier
Overview
Pineapple 8 combines Pineapple's three-card deal with a Hi/Lo split pot. Each player receives three hole cards, bets pre-flop, then discards one card before the flop is revealed. The pot is split between the best high hand and the best qualifying low hand (five unique ranks, all 8 or lower, with Ace playing low).

Split Pot — The Low Hand
To qualify for the low half of the pot, a player must be able to make a five-card hand using five unique ranks, all 8 or lower, using any combination of hole cards and community cards. Ace plays low (as 1). If no player qualifies, the high hand scoops the entire pot.
Low example: A-2-3-5-7 qualifies (all ≤8, five unique ranks)
Does not qualify: A-2-3-9-5 (9 is higher than 8)
The lowest possible low (the "wheel") is A-2-3-4-5
Strategy Tips
Starting hands with A-2 or A-3 have strong low potential — keep them
Suited low cards give you both flush and low draws simultaneously
Discard the card that helps neither high nor low — evaluate both before deciding
Watch the board: you need at least three low community cards to make a qualifying low
Scooping (winning both high and low) is the goal — hands like A-2-suited give you the best chance
