PINEAPPLE

Overview

Pineapple is similar to Texas Hold'em, but players receive three hole cards instead of two. After the pre-flop betting round, each player must discard one of their hole cards before the flop.

Key Rules

• Each player receives THREE hole cards
• After the pre-flop betting round, each player must discard ONE card before the flop
• Players then proceed with exactly two hole cards (like Hold'em)
• The rest of the game plays exactly like Texas Hold'em

The Deal

• Players receive three private cards face down
• Pre-flop betting round (players still hold all three cards)
• All players simultaneously discard one of their three cards
• The flop is dealt (three community cards)
• Betting proceeds normally
• Turn and River are dealt as usual

Strategy

• The extra card gives you more information about your hand
• Evaluate all three card combinations before discarding
• Consider what cards might have been discarded by others
• Discard the card that gives you the least flexibility
• If all three cards are strong, discard the one least likely to improve your hand
