Stud Game — Split Pot (Razz A-5 / Deuce to Seven) · 8 Players Max
Overview
RazzDeucey is a 7-card stud split-pot game pitting two lowball systems against each other. Aces are LOW. The pot splits between the best 5-card A-5 Razz hand (aces low, straights and flushes don't count) and the best 5-card 2-7 lowball hand (aces high/bad, straights and flushes count against).

Ante & Bring-In
All players post an ante. Aces are LOW for the bring-in: the player with the highest door card brings in (High Card Bring-In, ace is low so King is worst).
Split Pot: Razz Half (A-5)
Best 5-card A-5 Razz low hand: aces are low, straights and flushes are ignored. Best hand is A-2-3-4-5 (the wheel).
Split Pot: Deuce to Seven Half
Best 5-card 2-7 lowball hand: aces are HIGH (bad), straights and flushes count against the hand. Best hand is 7-5-4-3-2 (no flush).
Note: a hand that wins Razz (using the ace) may not win 2-7 (ace becomes a liability). The ace plays opposite roles in each half!
Best Scooping Hand
5-4-3-2-A (Razz wheel) plus a 7 somewhere in the hand. For Razz use A-2-3-4-5; for 2-7 use 2-3-4-5-7 (no straight since there is a gap at 6, no ace used).
Strategy Tips
The ace is valuable for Razz but worthless (high card) for 2-7 — you need cards that serve both systems
A 7 is crucial for 2-7 but irrelevant for Razz — mid-range cards overlap better between the two systems
2-3-4-5 are the best cards for both halves simultaneously
Straights are only dangerous for the 2-7 half; watch if your best 5 cards for 2-7 form a straight
