Overview
Seven-Card Flip 8 combines the flip mechanic (four cards dealt, two chosen to expose) with a high/low split pot. The low half requires an 8-or-better qualifier: five unique unpaired ranks all 8 or below, aces play low.

Ante
All players post a small ante before cards are dealt.
The Deal
- Initial deal: Four cards face-down to each player
- The Flip: Each player exposes two of their four cards
- Best Board Bring-In: Best two-card exposed board acts first (double bet if exposed board is a pair)
- Fifth through Seventh Streets: Same as Seven-Card Stud (two up, one down)
Split Pot — 8-or-Better
The pot is split between the best high hand and the best low hand. To qualify for low, a player must have five unique unpaired ranks all 8 or below (aces count as 1 for low).
If no player qualifies for low, the entire pot goes to the best high hand.
Strategy Tips
- Exposing two low cards (e.g. A-2) announces a low draw — opponents will know your direction
- Scooping (winning both halves) requires a hand like a wheel (A-2-3-4-5) that is also a strong high hand
- Four Kings exposed triggers the double bet and screams high strength — other players must decide whether to chase low
