SUPER RAZZ

Stud Game — Razz with Initial Discard · 6 Players Max

Overview

Super Razz is a Razz variant (lowest 5-card A-5 hand wins) where each player receives four cards face-down plus one face-up door card. After the bring-in bet, each active player calls or raises and simultaneously discards two of their four hole cards, then play continues like standard Razz with three more streets.

Four hole cards dealt down, then two are discarded after the bring-in — then three more streets lead to the showdown.

The Deal

Betting Limits — Small & Big Bets

Super Razz is played fixed limit, with a small bet and a big bet worth double the small bet (e.g. $2 / $4). Small bets apply on third and fourth street; big bets apply on fifth, sixth and seventh street.

Unlike high-card Stud, an open pair on fourth street does not change the limit in Razz — the small-bet/big-bet schedule stays fixed no matter what pairs show.

Final Hand

Best five unique (unpaired) low ranks from the remaining seven cards, using A-5 Razz rules. Aces are always low; straights and flushes do not count against the hand.
