THERMONUCLEAR ARMAGEDDON PINEAPPLE 8

Overview

Thermonuclear Armageddon Pineapple 8 adds a split-pot twist to TAP: the pot is divided between the best high hand and the best qualifying low hand (five unique ranks, all 8 or below, with aces counting low). Start with five hole cards and discard one before each street — the extra hole cards give you far more flexibility to chase both halves simultaneously.

Split Pot: High Hand

Best 5-card high hand using any combination of 2 remaining hole cards and 5 community cards (standard Hold'em evaluation).

Split Pot: Low Hand (8 Qualifier)

Best qualifying low: five unique ranks, all 8 or below, aces count low. If no player qualifies, the high hand wins the full pot. Best low = A-2-3-4-5.

Strategy Tips

• Five starting cards let you pursue both halves more aggressively than in normal split-pot games
• Prioritize keeping one low card and one high card through each discard round to keep both halves live
• If the board is low-heavy, lean toward your low cards; if it's high-heavy, shift toward high
• Scooping (winning both halves) is extremely valuable — the extra hole cards make it more achievable
