Overview
Courchevel is a 5-card Omaha variant where the first flop card (the "door card") is exposed immediately after the hole cards are dealt — before pre-flop betting. Players must use exactly 2 of their 5 hole cards combined with exactly 3 of the 5 community cards.

Key Rules
IMPORTANT: Players must use EXACTLY 2 hole cards + EXACTLY 3 community cards. This is the same rule as standard Omaha.
Number of Players
2–8 players.
The Deal
Each player receives 5 hole cards face down. Immediately after dealing, the first flop card — the "door card" — is dealt face-up to the center before pre-flop betting begins.
The Omaha Rule
Players must use EXACTLY 2 of their 5 hole cards + EXACTLY 3 community cards. No more, no less.
No Burn Cards
Unlike standard Texas Hold'em, Courchevel uses no burn cards — the door card and remaining community cards are dealt directly.
Betting Rounds
Pre-Flop — door card already visible on the board
Flop — 2 remaining flop cards are dealt
Turn — one card dealt face-up
River — final card dealt face-up
Strategy Tips
The door card gives you valuable information before pre-flop betting — use it!
With 5 hole cards you have 10 two-card combinations to work with
Connected hole cards (suited connectors, pairs) gain value from the pre-flop door card information
If the door card pairs with your hole cards, you have a concealed full house draw
Observe how the door card shapes your draw before committing chips pre-flop
