The 3-2-1 Community Board
All 12 community cards are placed face-down before pre-flop betting:
Flop Board (9 cards): A 3×3 grid of cards, all revealed during the flop betting round. The three rows represent three independent sets of flop cards.
Turns (2 cards): Two separate turn cards revealed during the turn betting round. Each player may choose either one.
River (1 card): One shared river card available to all players.
Hand Construction
Using exactly 2 hole cards + 3 community cards (Omaha rule):
Select any one complete horizontal row from the flop board (3 cards)
Select one of the 2 turn cards
Your community pool = chosen row (3) + chosen turn (1) + river (1) = 5 cards
Use any 3 of those 5 community cards to complete your Omaha hand
Strategy Tips
Evaluate all three rows on the flop — the river and turns can dramatically change which row is best
With 2 turn options you get extra flexibility: one turn may complete a flush draw, the other a straight
The Omaha rule is strict: exactly 2 hole + exactly 3 community — no exceptions
In a full 9-player game different players may pick different rows and turns, creating surprising showdowns
